Daily we’re creating and doing, often without a second thought. We get up, go through our routines, and live on autopilot. This is producing something, too. Looking back over the past 5, 10, or 15 years of your life, you’ll see how the root of a moment sets you on this autopilot you are living in without even realizing it. We are all guilty of this at some stage of life.
So I ask you:
What are you creating, doing, and producing today that has you on autopilot? What’s the root of your existence right now?
Our lives are full of experiences that bring hope, pain, joy, sadness, and more. These moments shape and redefine who we are, sometimes without our awareness. To survive or thrive, we shift into autopilot.
That is until you stop to assess where you’re headed and who you want to be from here on. Life has a way of shifting our mindset, altering our hearts, and sometimes, erasing the sense of who we are. When that happens, we create survival plans. We act and live from the root of that past moment. These moments have branches—offspring—that we operate in daily. The truth is, we’re living from the root. If you haven’t addressed the root, any change to the branches is temporary. True transformation only happens when you go back to the root.
Autopilot has its purpose, but even in this mode, it’s crucial to stop and examine what’s being produced by the mechanism driving you.
So, what are you creating and producing today? Is it breathing life into the person you want to be, or is it keeping you in a cycle of stagnation, fear, or confusion?
As we enter a new year, we’re already in a new season. The leaves are changing, the temperatures are dropping. Time doesn’t pause, and even though it seems like creation is on autopilot, it isn’t. Shifts happen constantly. The earth cycles into the new. So, if nature isn’t stuck on autopilot, then why should you be in this way of living? Especially if what you’re producing now isn’t aligning with who you want to be or where you’re headed.
Is it time to reset your autopilot?
If you want to live from the root and redesign your life, consider starting by returning to who you were created to be. Life experiences have shifted your state of being in many ways, both good and bad. You’ve spent a long time living from the branches. Now is the time to stand still and refocus on the root of who you are. That’s where you’ll find the answers and the direction you’ve been searching for.
