Tasha's Responses?
What was the point in your life where you knew and did the work to heal with your past? Divorce, etc?
The Sexual assault took a toll on my life. I became hypersensitive to my surroundings, completely withdrawn, and entered into a deep hole of depression. When my best friend recognized a major shift in my behavior and approached me about it, I knew that it was time for me to make a decision." Would I allow my experience to define me or would I use it to as a source of empowerment?"
How was not healing your heart showing up in your personal life/business/relationships?
I ultimately became my worst enemy. I felt like I had to accept the bare minimum because I viewed myself as damaged goods. I talked myself out of job opportunities and healthy relationships. I allowed my pain to paralyze my capability of pursuing purpose.
Healing with the hurt and releasing it?
I recognize the beauty of my brokenness. My past is an identifier, not my identity. I maximize every moment in my life by being intentional with creating healthy boundaries, cultivating healthy relationships with others, being present and showing up as my authentic self. Embracing joy, happiness, love, the power of my voice.
